Description

SPA Hotel “Medicus” in the town of Varshets (owned by the company San Properties OOD, BG 131331120) has already invested over 160,000 BGN of its own funds in the construction of a modern photovoltaic system with a total capacity of just over 80 kW, producing clean electricity from the sun for its own consumption. The energy is not sold, but is used entirely for the needs of the hotel.
However, the specifics of our activity create a challenge - most of the electricity is produced during the day, when consumption is lower. At the same time, the main needs arise early in the morning and in the evening, when the hotel is busy with the operation of swimming pools, SPA center, saunas, heating and water systems, pumps, steam baths, saunas, which require a significant amount of electricity. This discrepancy limits the effective use of energy from solar panels.
The project includes the purchase and installation of a 215 kW storage battery, along with the necessary inverters and control systems, as well as the addition of 9.5 kW of new solar panels. These measures will allow for optimal utilization of the energy produced and its use in the morning, evening and night hours, when consumption is highest. This will significantly increase energy efficiency, reduce the need for external electricity, and strengthen the sustainable development of the hotel as a leading eco-oriented tourism destination in the region.
