The project proposal is aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency and sustainable growth of a small enterprise operating under NACE code 16.29 – Manufacture of other products of wood. The beneficiary specializes in the production of ecological briquettes made entirely from 100% waste wood – an environmentally friendly and sustainable product contributing to the efficient use of biomass and the reduction of harmful emissions. The enterprise has an established and fully operational production facility that ensures a complete, zero-waste production cycle – from raw material preparation and drying to pressing and packaging of the final product. The project intervention addresses the identified need to reduce the high energy consumption associated with the production process and to decrease the enterprise’s dependency on conventional energy sources. The proposed investment includes the installation of a photovoltaic system with inverter and energy storage battery, as well as the replacement of existing lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures in the production and service areas. The implementation of these measures will ensure partial energy independence of the enterprise, reduction of electricity costs, and decreased reliance on non-renewable energy sources. The expected results include improved energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, optimization of production processes, and enhanced sustainability and competitiveness of the enterprise. The project integrates environmentally responsible manufacturing with the adoption of green technologies, thereby contributing to sustainable development, improved energy performance, and the application of circular economy principles in line with the objectives of the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises” 2021–2027, under the procedure “Energy Efficiency and Use of Energy from Renewable Sources (RES).”
