The project proposal of FENIKS REPLASTIK Ltd. aims to enhance the energy efficiency and energy independence of the enterprise through the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) for own consumption with an inverter capacity of 60 kW. The company operates a production facility in the city of Gabrovo – a region defined as a priority area for support under the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises”, due to its high potential for energy transformation and sustainable development. The main activity of the enterprise is the collection and storage of secondary raw materials, where the production process involves the use of a baling press with a capacity of 70–90 kW, representing the main source of energy consumption. Its operation requires continuous and stable electricity supply, and under the current dependence on the external grid, the enterprise faces high energy costs and a risk of production interruptions. At present, the company has no existing facilities for generating its own electricity, which makes the planned investment the first step towards energy independence and sustainable resource management. The construction of the PVPP will provide a stable source of clean renewable energy, covering more than 60% of the company’s electricity needs, while reducing electricity costs and CO₂ emissions. Expected results of the project implementation include: Commissioning of a 60 kW photovoltaic power plant for own consumption; Reduction of electricity costs by more than 30%. The implementation of the project will generate significant economic and environmental benefits – reduced production costs, improved competitiveness, and long-term sustainability. The PVPP will have a direct positive impact on the regional development of Gabrovo, serving as a model for the introduction of green technologies in enterprises operating in the field of the circular economy and environmental protection.
