The project envisages the purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 39.4 kW and a battery for storing the electricity generated from renewable energy sources (RES) to meet the needs of Rostreid EOOD. The investment aims to improve the company’s energy efficiency and increase the share of energy used from renewable sources. By implementing the project, production costs related to electricity consumption will be reduced, which in turn contributes to maintaining the competitiveness of Rostreid EOOD, ensuring price stability for the produced goods, and transitioning to a circular economy. By utilizing electricity from RES for its own needs and stored energy, the company will reduce electricity costs and enhance its financial sustainability. The presence of a battery will enable more flexible management of the energy flow within the company. The project aligns with the objectives of the procedure for improving energy efficiency in enterprises and promoting the use of energy from renewable sources, thereby accelerating the transition to climate neutrality and reducing the carbon footprint. It will be implemented in compliance with the principles of "do no significant harm" to the environment. Rostreid EOOD will adhere to the principles of communication and visibility during the project’s implementation by informing the public about the purpose of the project, as well as the support provided by the European Regional Development Fund through the PKIP. During the project’s execution, the company will apply measures in line with the applicable information and communication rules outlined in Annex IX “Communication and Visibility - Articles 47, 49, and 50” of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060. The project represents a strategic step towards energy efficiency, sustainable resource management, and economic optimization of electricity costs for Rostreid EOOD. This will lead to sustainable growth and increased competitiveness for the company.
