"Kovex" Ltd. operates entirely in the field of tourism, managing the "Shipka" hotel in the Golden Sands resort. We offer both overnight stays and accommodation with full meals included for hotel guests. Until 2020 /before the COVID 19 pandemic/ we worked mainly with tour operators and accommodated predominantly guests from abroad.At the moment we are mainly focused on Bulgarian tourists and we are trying to restore the partnerships and volumes from before the pandemic. Our hotel operates year-round, and the main cost of our operation is the electricity used. Heating in the winter and cooling in the summer months is entirely electric.A large consumer is the electrical appliances in the restaurant kitchen and maintaining a comfortable microclimate in the SPA area. Electricity costs are constantly increasing. In addition, the trend towards switching to green energy and the requirement to reduce carbon emissions is becoming increasingly pronounced.With this project proposal for the implementation of investments, "Kovex" Ltd. aims, through investment in completely new technologies and full use of the capacity of the existing cooling and heating installations of the "Shipka" hotel,to achieve significant savings in primary non-renewable energy, as a result of which the energy performance of the hotel building will reach energy consumption class "B". The effect we are looking for is a significant reduction in energy consumption,reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and as a result to achieve primary energy savings. Based on this analysis, we came to the conclusion that in order to achieve the desired goal, namely a significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and as a result to achieve primary energy savings we should invest in the energy-saving measure, the subject of this project proposal, namely the construction of a photovoltaic installation for our own needs with a capacity of 56 kWp.
