Description

The main objective of the current project proposal is to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of energy from renewable sources (RES) at Ivel – Confectionary Ltd., thereby accelerating the transition towards climate neutrality through reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and increasing the share of RES in the company’s energy mix.

The proposal envisages the implementation of the following energy-efficient measure:
1.	Supply of local energy storage systems (batteries) in combination with inverter(s)

The activity will be carried out through the purchase and commissioning of local energy storage systems with a total capacity of 160 kWh. The acquisition of these assets will lead to a lasting reduction in the company’s energy intensity and will help balance its energy mix.

Ivel – Confectionery Ltd. is part of the eligible target group under the procedure. The company is a small enterprise, carrying out its main activity under NACE code 10.82 – Manufacture of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery, which is characterized by high energy intensity and is among the priority sectors under the current procedure.

The expected results of the investment are that Ivel – Confectionery Ltd. will improve its energy efficiency, ensure more reliable energy security for its operations, increase the share of RES in its energy mix, reduce its carbon footprint, and enhance its competitiveness and resilience.

The proposal is fully compliant with the “do no significant harm” principle, contributing to the green transition and supporting the achievement of national and European climate and energy goals.
