Description

"IDOPS BG" Ltd. is a company established by Slovak citizens for investment purposes. The company owns production halls and a warehouse facility, which it leases to an affiliated company for manufacturing activities.

The company’s main economic activity is 68.20 – Rental and operation of own real estate, and its secondary activity is 22.29 – Manufacture of other plastic products.
The secondary (supporting) activity is a significant consumer of electricity. The average monthly electricity consumption varies between 9 and 14 MWh, depending on the workload of the production facilities, while the annual consumption ranges between 120 and 140 MWh.

The production process generates substantial heat, creating unfavorable working conditions for the staff. For this reason, during almost two-thirds of the year, working hours are from 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM, in order to reduce the heat stress on workers. This leads to electricity consumption during morning peak hours, which significantly affects the cost of the consumed electricity.

To address this issue, the company management has developed a medium-term plan to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs in the cost structure of its production.

As part of this plan, the company intends to build a 40 kW photovoltaic power plant with its own funds, solely for internal use.
This project involves an investment in the supply of a battery and inverters with an installed capacity of 108 kW, in which the energy produced by the photovoltaic system will be stored and then released during the early morning peak electricity consumption hours.

This investment is expected to result in energy savings of 40 to 50% from the electricity purchased on the free market, which would lead to annual savings of approximately BGN 15,000 at current electricity prices.
