The project aims to improve the energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions of Bulgartrans EOOD by enhancing the thermal performance of its main production building in the Western Industrial Zone of Shumen. The initiative, implemented under “Installation of Energy-Efficient Insulation Systems in Buildings,” seeks to bring the facility into full compliance with Regulation No. 7 of 2004 on the Energy Efficiency of Buildings. Planned Investment Activities: External Thermal Insulation System – Installation of 620 sq.m. façade insulation with 12 cm EPS (λ < 0.032 W/m·K), including adhesive, reinforcement mesh with plaster/rendering, anchors, water-drip and corner profiles, and decorative finish; fire reaction class B. Replacement of Existing Metal Window Frames (Façade and Roof) – • 18 units of external glazed doors and display windows, L = 4000 mm, H = 1700 mm, double-glazed, PVC or wood frames, U = 1.40 W/m²·K. • 2 units of external glazed doors and display windows, L = 1750 mm, H = 1500 mm, double-glazed, PVC or wood frames, U = 1.40 W/m²·K. Industrial Doors Replacement – 2 sectional industrial doors, L = 5.50 m, H = 4.50 m, U = 2.0 W/m²·K. Expected Primary Results: Reduced heat loss through the building envelope; Lower electricity consumption for HVAC and air conditioning; Decrease in total carbon emissions; Full regulatory compliance with energy efficiency standards. Expected Additional Results: Increased competitiveness through reinvestment of energy savings into production activities; Improved working conditions and thermal comfort for employees.
