The implementation of the activities addresses the need of KOHAB Ltd. for targeted investments in improving energy efficiency, which are key to the sustainable development of the enterprise. In this way, the prerequisites are created for long-term cost reduction and achieving higher competitiveness. The main objective of the present project proposal is to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy sources (RES), thereby accelerating the transition to climate neutrality through reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and increasing the share of RES in the energy mix. The project proposal will implementation of the following activity: • Improving energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in enterprises. The activity will be implemented through investments in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for own consumption with inverter capacity of 80 kW, combined with local energy storage facilities (batteries). This will ensure greater energy independence and a lasting reduction of the company’s energy intensity. KOHAB Ltd. is part of the eligible target group under the procedure. The company is a small enterprise, carrying out its main activity under NACE code 71.12. Engineering services and technical consultancy. The expected results of the investment are that KOHAB Ltd. will improve its energy efficiency, expand the use of renewable energy sources for its own needs (including through the construction of a photovoltaic system with integrated storage facilities), ensure reliable energy supply for its operations, reduce its carbon footprint, and strengthen both its competitiveness and long-term resilience. The proposal is fully compliant with the “do no significant harm” principle, contributing to the green transition and supporting the achievement of national and European climate and energy goals.
