The overall objective of the project proposal is to improve the energy efficiency of Lunatone-BG OOD by using energy from renewable sources, thereby accelerating our transition to climate neutrality and reducing our carbon footprint as a manufacturing company and optimizing our energy consumption. The specific objectives address individual parameters through which the prerequisites for the implementation of the overall objective will be created: construction of a renewable source of energy production - a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 100 kW in combination with industrial battery with a capacity of 215 kWh, which will provide us with sustainable and economically affordable energy; acquisition of energy independence and neutrality in our activities; overcoming seasonality and volatility in the production of solar photovoltaic energy by purchasing batteries to store the produced amount; ensuring energy security for the operation of the assets in the company, including the planned future expansion of our activities; reducing the cost of production. The implementation of the project is aimed at satisfying our basic need to achieve energy independence, greater predictability and cost efficiency while reducing our carbon footprint. The project covers one activity - construction of a 100 kW photovoltaic power plant in combination with batteries for the production of energy from renewable sources for our own consumption. The investment in photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 100 kW with a 215 kWh industrial battery will ensure more sustainable and predictable energy consumption in Lunatone-BG, will reduce the company's dependence on electricity supplied from the external grid, will optimize production and cost, and will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the company's activities.
