Description

The current project envisages the construction of a 50 kW photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) and the implementation of a battery energy storage system to ensure energy efficiency, independence and sustainability of the power supply at the Kamena Hotel, Pamporovo.
The hotel is located in a resort with predominantly winter occupancy, with peak electricity consumption occurring in the cold months – due to the need for heating, hot water, lighting, SPA and restaurant services. This leads to significant electricity consumption, which is associated with high costs, especially in the context of unstable energy prices. The project provides an opportunity for its own production of clean energy from the sun, combined with storage batteries that will ensure the usability of energy outside of sunny hours.
Pamporovo is among the sunniest winter resorts in Bulgaria – with many clear days even in December and January. This creates ideal conditions for the PVPP to operate even during the winter season, when the hotel is at its busiest.
Expected benefits of the project are a significant reduction in electricity costs, better coverage of evening and night-time consumption, increased energy independence and sustainability, and green transformation.
The construction of a photovoltaic power plant in combination with an energy storage system at the Kamena Hotel, Pamporovo is an investment in the sustainable future of the tourism business. It will provide real economic benefits, stability and energy security during the busiest season, increase the competitiveness of the hotel, and comply with modern environmental and regulatory requirements in the field of tourism and energy.
