Programme: Programme "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027

Planning region: All

Description

The project envisages the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with an installed capacity of 56 kW on the roof of the company's production base, located in the city of Sofia. The main activity of the company is the production of furniture, including wood processing, assembly, sanding, painting and upholstery. The production process is energy-intensive and requires a continuous supply of electricity to operate machines, aspiration systems and lighting.

In recent years, electricity costs have increased significantly, which has a significant impact on the cost of production and the profitability of the company. With the implementation of this project, the company aims to reduce energy dependence on external suppliers and achieve higher energy efficiency by using a renewable energy source for its own consumption.

The photovoltaic system will produce electricity intended to cover its own production needs. The project is expected to reduce electricity costs by over 50% during the summer months and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 50–60 tons per year.

The investment will contribute to increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of the enterprise, optimizing production processes and improving its environmental profile. The project is fully consistent with national and European priorities for energy efficiency, green transformation and sustainable industrial development, creating long-term economic and environmental benefits for the company and the region.
