This project envisages the implementation of an integrated solution for energy efficiency and own energy production at the production base of SOLVENT EOOD in Ruse. The intervention covers two complementary measures: 1) a modern compressed air system consisting of an inverter compressor, a 1000 L receiver, and a dryer; and 2) a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with 100 kW output active power of the inverters (AC) for own consumption. The solution is tailored to the production needs and profile and is aimed at stabilizing energy flows and reducing costs during the active part of the day. The scope includes design, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning, as well as staff training and all necessary construction, protection, and measurement elements. The compressed air system provides dynamic load adaptation, peak buffering, and humidity control, resulting in stable process parameters, lower specific energy, reduced scrap, and shorter downtime. The PV system, located on existing roofs without changing the purpose of the building, includes high-efficiency modules, grid inverters, supporting structures, DC/AC protection, grounding, and lightning protection. The expected effects are a significant reduction in grid purchases during the solar window, a more predictable cost base, higher operational resilience, and an improved ESG profile as a factor of increasing importance to customers and partners. The investment is fully compliant with procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 and PKIP 2021–2027, as well as with the List of Eligible Asset Categories and Eligibility Criteria. The implementation ensures the most adequate ratio between expected costs and benefits for the company and the local community through a sustainable increase in energy efficiency and the share of RES for own consumption.
