The project proposal of SANUS LIFE Ltd. (UIC 200070987) is aimed at improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable energy sources at the company’s facility – a Home for the Elderly located in the Suhodol district of Sofia. The main objective is to achieve a sustainable reduction in energy costs and to improve the living conditions of the residents by implementing modern, environmentally efficient technologies. Within the scope of the project, a high-efficiency heating and cooling system based on a renewable energy source will be installed. A total of two heat pumps, each with a capacity of 24 kW, will be delivered and installed to provide energy-efficient heating, cooling, and domestic hot water for the needs of the home. In addition, a photovoltaic power plant will be built, equipped with solar panels and an inverter with a capacity of 20 kW, as well as a battery storage system of the same capacity. This installation will generate electricity from a renewable source, covering part of the building’s energy needs. The expected outcome is a significant reduction in electricity consumption from the external grid and a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. The implementation of the project will contribute to modernizing the building’s infrastructure, reducing operational costs, and creating a healthier, more comfortable, and sustainable living environment for the residents. The introduction of these measures aligns with the strategic objectives of the EU and national policies on energy efficiency, as well as with the transition toward a low-carbon economy. The project will deliver long-term environmental and social benefits through the integration of innovative technologies that combine economic efficiency with environmental protection.
