The project proposal of NIRA 21 Ltd. envisages the implementation of investments aimed at introducing technologies utilizing energy from renewable sources in the company’s facility – a fast-food restaurant located in the city of Yambol. The investment includes the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) power plant with an installed capacity of 30 kWp, designed to generate electricity entirely for self-consumption, as well as the installation of local energy storage facilities (battery system) with a capacity of 30.72 kWh, which will ensure the balance between the generated and consumed electricity on site. In parallel, a solar thermal system for domestic hot water (DHW) will be installed, consisting of 6 m² of vacuum tube solar collectors, a 400–500 L storage tank, circulation unit, automation, and control system. The solar installation will be used to provide hot water for kitchen and sanitary needs of the restaurant, thereby reducing dependence on electricity for water heating. The photovoltaic and thermal systems will be integrated into the existing electrical and plumbing infrastructure of the facility. The installations will operate fully automatically and will be equipped with monitoring and metering devices for real-time control of energy flows. All planned activities will be implemented within the eligible categories of assets under the procedure and in full compliance with the technical and regulatory requirements of the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises” 2021–2027.
