The current project proposal involves investing in measures to improve the energy efficiency of the building stock – a structure that is part of the production facilities of MT Plast Ltd., located in Razgrad. The facility serves as the main warehouse supporting the company's production activities. The building requires replacement of the roof covering to enhance its strength and protect the materials and equipment stored inside from corrosion and other aggressive processes. The facility is not fully heated, but the stored materials and equipment need a dry and protected environment for their subsequent use or inclusion in the production process. The roof is pitched with a total area of 1100 square meters. It is structurally sound but has worn-out insulation, leading to thermal losses and water penetration during heavy rainfall. To improve the thermal characteristics of the roof space, it is planned to remove the compromised roof covering and install a new multi-component thermal insulation system – type Sandwich panels with PUR (polyurethane) insulation. By incorporating energy-efficient materials, the overall condition of the company's building stock will be improved, storage conditions for materials needed for the production process will be enhanced, and consequently, the efficiency and quality of the final products will increase. Replacing the old compromised roof covering with high-performance PUR sandwich panels will achieve a thermal conductivity coefficient of ≤ 0.022 λ, W/m.K. The project will be implemented within 12 months in Razgrad, Western Industrial Zone.
