The project aims to reduce energy costs and increase the energy independence of the "Mak" hotel, located in the city of Gabrovo, 9 "Treti Mart" blvd. Since 2017, nearly 50,000 guests have passed through the hotel, and the restaurants and halls have served over 100,000 customers - a profile with high daytime and evening consumption (lighting, kitchen, laundry, IT/reception, ventilation and air conditioning of rooms, restaurant and conference rooms) and significant base nighttime consumption for heating/HVAC and duty systems (lighting, IT/security). A measure is envisaged for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for own consumption with batteries included - 55 kW PV plant, configured without returning energy to the grid (anti-export). The system will cover the main daily loads of the hotel: common areas, reception and IT, restaurant and kitchen, laundry, conference rooms, HVAC and ventilation, as well as auxiliary consumers. The batteries will shift part of the consumption outside the peak time zones, will support during cloudy weather/evening events, will smooth out short-term peaks and will increase self-consumption. The measure is selected according to the load profile of the hotel (daytime activity + evening events) and meets the minimum technical requirements of the procedure. The main activities include: technical survey and detailing; design; delivery and installation of PV modules, inverters, supporting structures and batteries; construction of protections/grounding; commissioning, functional tests and staff training; setting up online monitoring (production/consumption) and charge/discharge management for maximum self-consumption. Expected results: significant reduction in grid electricity consumption and operating costs; more stable energy profile with lower peak loads; higher operational reliability of installations and better conditions for guests and staff; limiting CO₂ emissions and improving the site's ESG profile.
