Description

“MEDIKET GROUP” Ltd. is a company with established experience in the production of plastic packaging. According to the NACE Rev.2 classification, the company’s main economic activity falls under code 22.22 – “Production of plastic packaging”. The company operates in its own production facility located in the city of Shumen.

In the context of a dynamic energy market and continuously rising electricity prices, one of the key challenges facing the company is the need to reduce the energy intensity of production processes in order to limit operating costs, decrease the carbon footprint of its activities, and create conditions for sustainable development and enhanced competitiveness.

With the aim of improving energy efficiency, reducing current operating costs, and optimizing production processes, the project foresees the procurement and integration into operation of two high-efficiency inverter compressors each with a capacity of 75 kW and one air receiver with a volume of 2000 l. The new equipment will fully cover the company’s compressed air needs and will replace the existing low-efficiency compressors with modern, energy-efficient solutions that meet current technological and environmental requirements.

The implementation of the project will lead to a significant reduction in energy consumption, improved production efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and cost optimization, while simultaneously strengthening the company’s long-term sustainability and competitiveness.

The project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004, aimed at accelerating the transition to climate neutrality and supporting enterprises in the decarbonization process through the implementation of measures that improve the energy efficiency of business operations.
