Project Description
The project “Light in the Fog” aims to present the art of contemporary European photographer Filippo Gianni to the Bulgarian public for the first time. The project will include three exhibitions in regional city – Blagoevgrad. The idea is to exhibit the photographs in a unique atmosphere – in the interiors of churches or former temple spaces, in order to emphasize the connection between light, silence and contemplation, characteristic of the author’s work.
The photographs in the exhibition are 20 in number, printed in three copies (one for each exhibition) – a total of 60 high-quality prints measuring 50x70 cm. Thematically, the photographs show dark, foggy landscapes – mountains, forests, lonely fields, pierced by lightning or cut through by weak light. Some of them are black and white, others are in muted colors, but all create a feeling of timelessness, inner search and encounter with the power of nature.
About Filippo Gianni
Filippo Gianni is a European photographer and visual artist with an impressive international presence. He graduated in Cinematography from the Central Film School in London and is currently continuing his education with a Master’s degree in Philosophy at a university in Belgium. His work is balanced between aesthetics, silence and philosophical contemplation. He combines the visual rigor of cinema with the emotional depth of analog photography.
With over 8,800 followers on Instagram and participation in exhibitions in the US and several European countries, Filippo is a respected artist with a marked modesty and exceptional sensitivity to the world around us. Despite his growing popularity, he remains focused on creating visual stories that provoke reflection, not sensation.
