Programme: Recovery and Resilience Plan

A separate project has been designed and constructed for a photovoltaic power plant (PV plant) with the following parameters: Installed peak power on the DC side – 3,362.04 MWp; Nominal power on the AC side – 3.225 MW; and Occupied area of the PV plant – 16,201.43 m2.
A total of 5,094 photovoltaic modules with a peak power of 660 Wp each have been selected, mounted on a certified mounting structure, and 15 solar inverters with a power of 215 kW and output voltage of 0.8 kV.
The main activity of the project includes the construction of a local storage system (LSS), which will be connected to the existing monitoring and control system of the PV plant. It will be managed by an energy management system that determines the charge and discharge mode of the LSS, ensuring that the energy delivered to the grid does not exceed the amount specified in the PV plant's connection agreement. During the charging of the LSS, at least 75% of the electrical energy from the directly connected energy facility (PV plant) will be used. The minimum time for charging and discharging each LSS will be 0.5C or 3440kWh/1500kW=2.29h, managed by the energy management system.
The need that will be met by the project is the storage and subsequent use of the produced energy during non-generation hours of the PV plant, using a local storage system (LSS) with a nominal output power on the AC side of 1.5 MW and a total capacity of 3.44 MWh.
The connection between the Local Storage System and the PV plant will be achieved through the LSS connection system at 0.69kV to the PV plant, in close proximity to the PV plant’s substation.
The goal of the investment is to contribute to increasing the share of clean energy in the energy mix and reducing annual carbon emissions.
