The establishment of a digital club in "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library - Sliven aims to increase the participation of the population in lifelong learning and social inclusion by providing opportunities for training in digital skills in an electronic environment, including also a remote access. The digital club will be established in the library building, in an already renovated and equipped room - with separate workplaces /with ergonomic desks and chairs provided/, a video projector and a projection screen. The provision of 6 computer configurations, internet connection, a multifunctional device and a desktop scanner for the needs of the training are the subject of the project proposal. Access to the services in the digital club will be free for library users.
The digital club in the library will serve as an access point to available electronic resources for various types of training, including digital skills, located on various e-learning platforms, access to online training and self-learning. According to the requirements, a mentor will be appointed to the digital club on an employment contract. His duties will include providing access to technology and the Internet; developing digital skills through training for people, including disadvantaged people, people of Roma origin, adults, etc., who do not have the necessary digital skills for full participation in online training courses; providing support for the use of e-services.
The activities for establishment of the digital club in the library include:
1. Delivery and installation of computer configurations for 6 workstations;
2. Provision of internet connection - broadband internet min. 100 Mbps, from a local provider;
3. Appointment of a mentor on an employment contract /8 working hours/;
4. Provision of other equipment /multifunction device and desktop scanner/ for the purposes of the functioning of the digital club and ensuring maximum quality of training.
