Programme: Recovery and Resilience Plan

The project proposal (PP) is for the construction of a LEESS with a power of 2MW and a capacity of 6MWh, as part of a combined project for a PvPP with a power of 6MW in UPI I-723, qtr. 35, Ivaylovgrad. The combined project consists of:1.Construction of PvPP and 2.Construction of LEESS. For the implementation of the combined project for the production and storage of electrical energy, the following main elements are to be installed: - Photovoltaic panel with a single peak power of 600Wp - 12,600pcs.; - three-phase grid inverter 100kW/400V - 40pcs.; - hybrid inverters with a single power of 50kW/400V - 40pcs.; - MTSS (metal transformer substation set) with power capacities 2x2500kVA - TS1 and 1x2000kVA - TS2; - Set of accumulator batteries, each set includes  batteries with capacity of 10kWh(15 pcs.). To store the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic panels, it is planned to install LEESSs representing a set of technical equipment installed and operated as one whole system. A Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has a power of 50kW/400V, with a total battery capacity of 150kWh. The current project foresees the installation of 40pcs. of BESS. The main activities for the implementation of the PP are: Delivery of materials, facilities and equipment for LEESS, Installation and commissioning of LEESS. The implementation of the PP will contribute to increasing the share of clean energy in Bulgaria's energy mix on the path to climate neutrality by building and integrating into the electricity grid new additional 6MW production capacities from renewable energy together with 2MW LEESS. The expected results of the implementation are a reduction in annual carbon emissions from the electricity production sector, an increase in the share of renewable electrical energy and the integration of production capacity from renewable energy into the grid, through the construction and commissioning of PvPP with a power of 6MW and LEESS with a power of 2MW and a capacity of 6MWh.
