The present project is aimed at presenting an already existing cultural product – the short-playing album “Sam” by Kolyo Mlyakoto, created in the genre of original acoustic music (bard/singer-songwriter – guitar and voice).
The album was officially presented to the public on 21.07.2021 in Sofia, bar “Friday”.
The project envisages the implementation of three concert performances in settlements outside the main administrative centers – in the city of Sozopol, the city of Tsarevo and in the National Community Center in the village of Sopot (locations are subject to clarification). The events will be held in the form of solo acoustic concerts lasting 60 to 90 minutes, including performances of all works from the album “Sam”, as well as additional original compositions.
The concert program will be supplemented with stories about the process of creating the works and personal stories related to them, as well as with projections that will enrich the artistic impact. The emphasis in the concept is the live presentation of music as the most impactful form of cultural communication, as well as the creation of direct contact with the audience in small settlements, where access to such events is limited.
The main performer and organizer of the activities is Kolyo Mlyakoto, with the possibility of engaging a technical assistant if necessary (sound, lighting, projections).
The goals of the project are:
● popularizing contemporary Bulgarian author's music;
● expanding the audience and reaching new audiences;
● stimulating cultural life in small settlements;
● creating sustainable interest in live musical performances.
The planned activities will be implemented within two months, with the deadline for project implementation being 31.03.2026.
