We are creating a web-based children's series titled "Miss Wacky Jacky: Adventures in the Village of Bretzel," inspired by the popular Bulgarian children's series "Miss Wacky Jacky"(recipient of the White Raven Award 2019 from the Munich International Children's and Youth Library and inclusion in the international catalog). Our goal is to produce a pilot season consisting of five episodes, each approximately 10 minutes long. These episodes will be released weekly on a dedicated website or platform. We are confident in the series' potential for success, as Radostina Nikolova's (Children's Writer of the Year 2019 by Sofia City Library and winner of the Biserche Valshebno Award in 2014 and 2017) "Miss Wacky Jacky" book series has captivated thousands of readers over the past five years and remains one of the most beloved modern children's books.
This web series, with its short, engaging format, will bring the story to life in a fresh and exciting way, appealing to both fans of the books and new audiences. We believe it will also inspire children's interest in literature.
"Miss Wacky Jacky" will resonate with young viewers by featuring themes relatable to their everyday lives, mixing humor with the magic of dance. The integration of multiple art forms will make the series unique, memorable, and, we believe, highly successful.
We aim to create unforgettable characters and stunning choreography while preserving the humor and charm of the original books. "Miss Wacky Jacky" follows the Stoyanov family as they leave the bustling city and embark on a heartwarming adventure in the picturesque village of Bretzel. Combining drama, humor, and dance, the series will explore themes such as friendship, adaptation, and the joy of discovering unexpected connections - all topics relevant to modern children.
By blending engaging characters, captivating choreography, and lighthearted humor, we aim to create a series that stays true to the spirit of the books.
