The objective of the reform is to foster an efficient policy coordination in all phases of research and innovation and to spur the Bulgarian innovation outcome. This will be done through the creation of a research and innovation ecosystem that ensures close links between academia and the business sectors. The reform shall include the following elements: o Entry into force of the Research and Innovation Act and related legislative acts; o Establishment of the Innovation Board; The implementation of this reform shall be completed by 30 June 2025.
