The objective of the reform is to contribute to reducing preventable health diseases via the provision of healthcare education in schools. The reform consists of the development and adoption of a Plan for Health Education in the Bulgarian School 2021-2027. The plan shall specify measures to promote a healthy lifestyle among students in the areas of reproductive health, nutrition and harmful consumption of alcohol and other psychoactive substances. The implementation of the reform shall be completed by 31 December 2022.
