Combined PV and local energy storage project. At the time of submission of the project proposal, the plant is under construction and is expected to be commissioned. The scope of the project includes the preparation of the technical design, supply, installation and commissioning of the ESS. The local energy storage enable the storage of the energy produced and provide grid services, help to smooth the variable output of the PV and allow for greater participation in the electricity market, optimising the economic benefits.
The main objective of the proposal is to contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy in Bulgaria's energy mix in order to meet climate neutrality targets. The combined PV and local energy storage project will ensure the flexibility of the power system, address grid congestion and balancing issues, prevent electricity market distortions and market peaks.
Expected outcomes include a stable and reliable electricity supply, increased grid stability, reduced risk of blackouts, reduced carbon footprint and potential economic benefits from lower energy prices and costs and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. It will also increase the decentralisation of energy production.
The project's target groups include local communities, energy suppliers, regulators and environmental advocates. Citizens and businesses will benefit from a more reliable and sustainable green energy supply. Utilities and energy distribution companies will enjoy a predictable and stable energy supply, improving the quality of service.
The project meets the principles of:
- gender equality and equal opportunities for all;
- "no significant harm" and does not support activities and assets related to fossil fuels, landfills and waste, and the ETS scheme;
- national and European environmental legislation.

Доставка и монтаж на оборудване за изграждане на ЛСС: Дейността ще бъде изпълнена чрез възлагане на поръчка от бенефициента след избор на изпълнител за извършване на доставката и монтаж на необходимото оборудване за изграждане на ЛСС и въвеждане в експлоатация. Изборът на изпълнител ще се извърши в съответствие с ПМС 80, тип на процедура - без провеждане на процедура (указанията на УО). За целта ще бъдат прилагани най-добри практики, чрез които да се обезпечи ефективното управление и изпълнение на проектната дейност. Бенефициентът се ангажира да оказва постоянен контрол и координация в хода на реализирането на тези дейности, като за целта ще извърши, но няма да се ограничи до следните стъпки:
- Избор на доставчик;
- Сключване на договор с доставчика на необходимото оборудване за изграждане и монтаж на ЛСС и въвеждане в експлоатация;
- Осигуряване на отчетност по изпълнението на проекта.
