The "Luthenian Fest" project places food as a cultural heritage of communities. In recent decades there has been an active attitude towards local cultural resources, among which the process of rediscovering traditional products is one of the leading places. The local food is a symbol of the cultural heritage, it valorizes the traditions of the territorial community and connects the generations. For joy, on our latitudes we are on the right side of the pepper, and from it comes one of the most significant cannons - the luthenium. It is a coin for nostalgia, the difference between "home" and "from the store", to preserve traditions. It seems as if it has been there for a long time and has always been part of the autumn, winter and even spring Bulgarian table. In fact, the lutenica in its present form, suitable for long-term storage in jars, is a new product and the ultimate recipe "peppers and tomatoes, aubergine and carrots by choice" has undergone a lot of changes and is extremely interesting for the overall presentation of the region of Maritsa Municipality, .
The project envisages that the holiday will be held traditionally in the villages on the territory of the Maritza Municipality and for the first year it will be in Manole Village in September 2019. Within the framework of the event the celebration will be held in a central location including artistic layout and development a mark to identify the exhibition of local products.There will be a competition for the most delicious homemade lutenitsa for residents to measure strength and become a tradition. The book of recipes and photos of dishes and agricultural products that will be created under the project will seal the best food samples as a cultural heritage. This will allow the inclusion of more people in the cultural traditions of the Maritza population.
