Programme: Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund

The project aims to expand the functionalities of the Unified Information System of the Courts (UISC), which is a key instrument for the implementation of the reform efforts for the introduction of e-justice. The system integrates all electronic cases and provides for their management, including the random allocation of cases, the reporting of court caseloads and the collection and processing of statistical information on court activity. The project foresees the creation of a module in the EISC for centralised distribution and electronic processing of cases under order, as well as a module for the administration of case mediations (see investment 6 and reform 3); upgrading of existing functionalities and creation of new ones in view of the development of the legal framework; changes in the internal administrative and management structure of the courts, integration with new systems, new electronic services, etc.; provision of the necessary computer equipment; upgrading of the data centres in the SJC. The creation of a module for warrant cases in the EISC will achieve a comprehensive reform of the warrant procedure and will create the preconditions for addressing the uneven workload of district courts in the country, with direct effects on the efficiency of the judicial system.
