Tourism is not among the developed sectors in the Municipality of Chernoochene, but it has the necessary prerequisites for the development of tourism, the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage and its transformation into a preferred tourist destination. Good natural features and available resources create excellent conditions for the development of rural, cultural and hunting tourism, using the beautiful nature and the available cultural and historical monuments. The cultural and historical heritage of the territory of the municipality includes immovable cultural values built and registered on the territory of the municipality, movable cultural values - stored in museums and collections, as well as the overall traditional folklore and ritual activity of the population. The municipality of Chernoochene does not have a full-fledged museum exposition, but there are territorial and building potentials within the existing structure of the settlements, including and the building subject to investment under the current project.
According to the newly adopted Plan for Integrated Development of the Municipality of Chernoochene 2021-2027, activities and projects have been set that have the potential to attract visitors. One of them is the current project for the reconstruction of a house for the presentation and exhibition of the local cultural and household heritage, which fully corresponds to PRIORITY 1: "Improving public services and conditions for the development of the local community", MEASURE 1.2.: "Preservation and preservation of cultural traditions and identity", ACTIVITY 3: "Major renovation of a house for the presentation and exposure of the local cultural and household heritage" in the village of Pchelarovo, Chernoochene municipality.
