The Velingrad region and Bulgaria as a whole can boast of an extremely rich folklore heritage. "Vasil Levski-1904" National Center works hard to preserve and popularize our folklore wealth and engage the young generation with traditions and customs. The current project envisages the preservation of our folklore heritage, as the activities provided for in the project are mainly aimed at children and young people.
With each new creative season, self-made compositions are developed and enriched. The beginner group - small dancers - of the ensemble "Zdravche-Venche" is already included in the performances and events of the community center. This determines the need to provide the small dancers to the ensemble with folk costumes in order to present and popularize our folklore heritage and attract and engage the younger generation.
Children are trained in the preparatory team and they are the ones who will "take over" from the main team. Even in the ensemble itself, there is a transfer of knowledge and skills from the already trained dancers to the younger ones. The little dancers already take part in the concerts organized by the community center and in this connection it is necessary to provide 20 pieces. folk costumes of little boys and girls who are between the ages of 7 and 12, divided by gender it is 10 boys and 10 girls.
The project proposal is to provide the novice group at the PDUANPT, "Zdravche-Venche" with folk costumes, and it is envisaged that 10 pieces will be made according to the project. Thracian folk costumes for girls, including: embroidered cloth, embroidered folk shirt and embroidered apron and 10 pcs. Thracian folk costumes for boys, including: a boy's shirt, a vest with flextransverse motifs on the textile and a flextransverse on the textile motifs and a sash.
