Unlike our colleagues from big cities, we doctors practicing in small towns cannot boast of a large number of paying clients. Quite the contrary - a large number of our patients are low-income and pensioners, and they do not have access to modern health services that guarantee an accurate diagnosis and long-term effect of the treatment. In their quest to receive modern medical care, more affluent patients seek the services of specialized practices in large cities, costing them a lot of time and additional transportation costs. Thus, patients, income and opportunities for development are lost. A closed circle is obtained, from which it is difficult to get out.
The fact that a large part of our patients are low-income and pensioners requires us to maintain lower prices for paid services, which leads to lower incomes for specialists and significantly less profit for our activity. This has so far prevented me from investing in new and advanced techniques and equipment contributing to more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
By providing the opportunity to purchase new equipment under measure 6.4. from SVOMR of MIG Pavlikeni - P. Trambesh, the present project proposal is aimed at the modernization of an existing diagnostic imaging office through the purchase of modern equipment.
The project proposal will improve the quality of life and access to medical care for over 10,000 individuals. Considering that the population in the region is aging, with low incomes and a high percentage of socially vulnerable persons, the project proposal will have a high efficiency factor and contribute to the satisfaction of the local population.
As a final result, the project will also lead to an increase in the applicant's competitiveness, as well as an expansion of his activity.
