The proposed project for the production of a Kyustendil folk costume for the FTA "Zagorovche" in Septemvri is based on regional folklore samples from the Kyustendil region. The performance of the present project complements the peculiarities of the local culture of an entire ethnographic area of its country, but to complete the overall stage work, the production of a Kyustendil costume is necessary. In this way, the creative arsenal of FTA "Zagorovche" is enriched, which would engage the attention of a much wider range of viewers and would contribute to the inherent balance of art between the local and the universally significant. The construction of such a type of complete stage work contributes to the spread of local folklore features through which national self-awareness and self-knowledge are built.
