In the 20th century, the industrial revolution entered agriculture. From this period, more and more modern machines and technologies began to be used, until today. Manual labor and primitive machinery are being replaced by much more productive mechanization. The advent of electronics made the management of farms and the application of technology much easier.
In recent decades, agriculture has seen significant growth in productivity. This also leads to a desire and need for modernization in farms and especially in livestock farms. In order to achieve a balance between sustainability and competitiveness in the sector, sustainable management of natural resources and protection of environmental components is necessary, with production aimed at this. These changes will be positive only when they are in sync with the expected increase in agricultural production as a result of increased demand, both regionally, nationally and globally. Production growth must be matched by improved economic profitability for primary producers, whose share of value added along the food chain has been shrinking in recent years. Without increasing the profitability of farms, their modernization and greening will be a difficult process.
The current project proposal is under the Procedure by selection of project proposals BG06RDNP001-19.272, "MIG KARLUKOVSKI KARST-CHERVEN BRYAG-ISKAR", Measure 1-4.1 "Support for investments in agricultural holdings".
Candidate under the procedure is VESELIN PETROV VELCHEV from the village of Chomakovtsi, commune. Cherven Bryag, registered as farmers in accordance with Ordinance No. 3 of 1999 for the establishment and maintenance of a register of farmers with the minimum standard production volume of their farm well above the BGN equivalent of 8,000 euros/SPO. Raises dairy cows in a registered livestock facility with registration No. 5989-0007-cowfarm and its activity is related to the production of quality raw cow's milk.
