Conceptual project, briefly described in stages:
Title: Study, conservation and restoration of the iconostasis from the church "St. St. Kiril and Metodii", town Slivnitsa.
I. First stage:
1. Research.
1.1 Description. Composition and color.
1.2 Implementation technique and technology.
1.3 State of the iconostasis before restoration.
2. Research.
2.1 Diagnostics.
2.2 Samples for surface contamination removal.
                    2.3 Tests for resistance of the painting layer to solvents.
   2.4 Disclosures. Removing the bland paint, bronze and overpaintings and exploring the layer /drawing/ beneath them.
2.5 Samples for cleaning the back of the iconostasis.
 3. Photo documentation.
II. Second stage:
1. Cleaning the iconostasis.
1.1 Removal of surface contamination.
1.2 Cleaning the back.
1.3 Removal of overpaintings, bland paint and bronze /where necessary/.
1.4 Removal of the destroyed /old/ varnish coating.
1.5 Killing the tree eaters.
III. Third stage:
1. Strengthening the iconostasis.
1.1 Strengthening the painting layer /drawing/ and primer.
1.2 Stabilization of the wooden base.
IV. Fourth stage:
1. Laying of whales.
1.1 Laying wood putty /where necessary/ - face/back.
1.2 Applying putty to fill in the missing parts - face.
V. Fifth stage:
1. Restoration of the missing decorative elements.
1.1 Fabrication of the base (wood carving, structural details).
                   1.2 Polychroming of the details compared to the original.
2. Applying retouches.
