The applicant is currently IMPLEMENTING the project "Upgrading of an existing hybrid fibre-optic and coaxial distribution system for the transmission of data, radio and TV and multimedia interactive signals, through the supply and installation of an innovative new generation optical PON network in the city of Chepelare." financed under BFP contract No BG06RDNP001-19.206-0001-C01, which includes:
1 Replacement of the coaxial cables with fibre optic cables connecting the end users to the nearest point of the applicant's fibre optic network
2 Supply and installation of next generation equipment /PON-Passive Optical Network/.
3 Supply of a minibagger for the project implementation and expansion of the PON network.
The implementation of the project under DBP No. BG06RDNP001-19.206-0001-C01 leads to the improvement of the quality, speed and reliability of the offered services, increasing the demand for NEW TV channels and expanded Internet accessibility, thus meeting the growing needs of the population for the provision of high-speed and reliable Internet and digital TV to the customers of ASTRA EOOD, which number has increased, due to which the traffic of the consumed signal has increased dramatically, resulting in insufficient capacity of the existing antennas.The available antennas and equipment after the implementation of the project under BFP Contract No. BG06RDNP001-19.206-0001 do not have sufficient capacity to meet the needs of the increased number of subscribers, therefore it is extremely necessary to purchase antennas and equipment with increased capacity and capabilities to deliver a quality signal to users. In addition, the traffic even without an increase in the number of subscribers is increasing, as the number of new TV channels requested and increasing consumption of Internet accessibility. 
The project provides for the supply and installation of ANTENnas and APPARATUS to increase TV and Internet signal traffic capacity.
