Cow's milk production is of strategic importance for Bulgaria. Milk is a vital product present in the daily diet, but in addition to its social and health effects, the dairy sector contributes to the provision of permanent jobs in rural areas, as well as to the protection of the environment. Bulgaria is the only EU member state that fulfilled about 65% of its quota, ie. produces less than the level for internal consumption. The crisis in the dairy sector across Europe and around the world has led to lower purchase prices and further confronted dairy farmers with a serious survival challenge. The main efforts in the sector are focused on investments at all stages of the dairy production chain.
The current project proposal belongs to the applicant ELIA MILK OOD and is entirely focused on milk processing and production of quality dairy products.
The project proposal is under procedure №BG06RDNP001-19.094 under sub-measure 4.2 "Investments in processing / marketing of agricultural products" of measure 4 "Investments in tangible assets" in the implementation of SVOMR of LAG Belene - Nikopol, RDP for the period 2014-2020.
The support under the procedure is aimed at achieving Priority 1 of the CLLD Strategy of the Belene-Nikopol LAG and in particular Specific Objective 1 "Increasing the competitiveness of agriculture by restructuring and developing the available material capacity and promoting the introduction of new technologies in farms. and enterprises'.
The project envisages the purchase of material assets for the dairy enterprise, which is located on the territory of the LAG, in the village of Dragash Voivoda, municipality. Nikopol, namely: Automatic system for weighing and labeling -1 pc. and Central system for cleaning and disinfection with foam -1 pc. to increase the efficiency and competitiveness in the current economic situation of the country, the world and rural areas.
