The applicant's activity is in the field of fruit growing. Grows stone fruit species - apricots. The applicant manages 114 decares of apricot plantations and has experience in the cultivation and distribution of apricot fruits. Based on observations, he found that the variety that he is currently farming (early Silistren) is prone to early flowering and frost, given the geographical location of the properties. Research begins on varieties that would be more cost-effective for that particular geographic location and there is customer interest in the product. Thus, he came to the conclusion that it is more cost-effective to gradually replace the aging plantations with new ones of the Silistrenska compote variety on a janka rootstock. This apricot variety has a medium-to-late flowering (March 21 - April 4), which will reduce frost losses. According to the project, it is planned to create 45 decares. permanent planting of apricot, Silistren compote variety. The planting scheme will be 5x2.5 - 100 pcs. per acre, which is optimal for this variety. Thus, out of a total of 114 acres with apricots, 40 have already been replaced and are bearing fruit, and the remaining acres will be replaced in stages depending on my financial capabilities - 45 decares. upon approval of the project in property number 68713.37.158, and the rest at a later stage. The selection criteria covering the project are as follows:
1. Projects of agricultural holdings in the sector "fruits, vegetables" and/or "essential oil and medicinal crops" and/or
"animal husbandry". – 20t.
2. The project is for a young farmer - up to 40 years old - 10 pts.
Total: 30t.
The requested financial assistance is in the amount of 50%, as the beneficiary intends to carry out the activity immediately after
submission of the project and does not want to conduct a tender procedure.
