Priority 2 “Improving the viability of farms and the competitiveness of all types of agriculture in all regions; promoting innovative agricultural technologies and sustainable forest management ", in particular:
- improving the economic performance of a farm and facilitating its restructuring and modernization; The aim of the investment project is to improve the competitiveness of the private farmer. The project includes construction of a structure for protection against hail and purchase of agricultural machinery for the development of the farm in the town of Petrich, municipality. The cultivation of fruit crops helps to increase the efficiency of crop production, as the income per unit area increases, relatively poorer humus soils and terrains with larger slopes are utilized. This makes them a promising sub-sector of crop production.
Vegetable production and fruit growing are traditional sub-sectors in Bulgaria, which is determined by the favorable natural conditions in the country and the production experience of the population accumulated over the centuries.
