Description
The improvement of the company's energy efficiency will be implemented through the following measures: - purchase of local energy storage facilities (batteries) for an existing FPP; - construction of a solar system for hot water and domestic hot water supply; - installation of recuperators for waste heat recovery and air purification; - replacement of outdated doors and windows with new energy-efficient insulation systems. This will mainly be implemented through the purchase of electrical energy storage facilities (batteries), which will contribute to the balance in the produced power of the already constructed FPP and will help overcome one of its shortcomings, namely intermittent production. The construction of a solar hot water system will eliminate another major source of energy consumption and will directly contribute to achieving the company's overall cumulative energy savings goal. WWe are planning to purchase a heat pump and a recuperator that will provide fresh air and at the same time extract the exhaust air from inside. The recuperator will utilize the waste heat from the stoves and reduce energy losses. Replacing transparent windows and doors will reduce heat loss and consequently reduce the energy consumption needed to heat/cool the workshop. These measures will help us maintain our competitiveness, especially given the high energy intensity of bread production. They will also allow us to continue with our investment intentions to produce products using clean solar energy and with a reduced carbon footprint. This policy is entirely in line with the company's corporate culture of creating clean bread. All activities will be carried out in compliance with the principles of free and fair competition and "no significant harm" to the environment and the achievement of climate sustainability, contributing to the ecological transition in the company's operations.
