Description
FIORE EOOD is an established commercial company founded in 1992, whose main activity is wholesale trade in food products. The company owns a warehouse in Burgas, where goods are stored, including frozen and refrigerated ones, which require a significant amount of electricity. In recent years, the company has faced a number of challenges related to increased energy intensity and unstable electricity prices. This has led to high operating costs and reduced predictability and competitiveness in the long term. Sudden and prolonged power outages from the grid also cause us serious problems. The project proposal aims to increase energy efficiency and reduce the company's carbon footprint by using energy from renewable sources. The plan is to build a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 50 kW, combined with batteries with a capacity of 80 kWh. The energy produced will be used solely for the company's own consumption. Analyses show that the system will be able to cover a significant part of the annual electricity consumption, thus reducing dependence on the grid and stabilising energy costs. The batteries will allow the storage of surplus energy and its utilisation in periods of lower electricity production. The system will provide electricity even when it is not supplied by the grid, thus ensuring the good quality of food products. The implementation of the project will improve energy efficiency and increase the competitiveness of companies through the use of renewable energy sources. The project will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint and the sustainable use of resources in accordance with the principles of a low-carbon economy, thereby contributing to climate change mitigation.
