The Sixteenth International Conference on Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage (DiPP2025), http://dipp2026.math.bas.bg/, aims at presenting innovative results, research projects and applications in the field of digitisation, documentation, archiving, representation and preservation of global and national tangible and intangible cultural and scientific heritage. The main focus is to provide open access to digitised cultural heritage and to set up sustainable policies for its continuous preservation and conservation. The Forum is consistent with the objectives in Art. 2 (1) and (2) of the Research Promotion Law. It contributes to the implementation of specific objectives 5,6,7 and 10 of the National Strategy for Research Development 2017-2030 and the priority areas for the development of applied research in Bulgaria (ICTs and National Identity and Development. Socio-economic Development and Management). The Forum also corresponds to the priority thematic areas Informatics and ICT and New Technologies in Creative and Recreative Industries of the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation and the Concept for a Transparent and Effective Innovation Policy for Smart Specialisation of Bulgaria 2021-2027. The priority area is the digital presentation and preservation of cultural and historical objects under conditions of risk. The forum will demonstrate innovative technologies and prototypes, which are result from established practices and achievements in the field. Representatives of research institutions, universities and cultural institutions are invited to participate and exchange experiences, ideas, knowledge and best practices of the field. The last 10 editions have been organised under the patronage of UNESCO. The research and results presented at the Forum will be published in Web of Science and Scopus (with SJR) indexed Proceedings in English, which will be printed before the beginning of the conference.
