Description
The project proposal is aimed at organising and holding the XXIV International School on Nuclear Physics, Neutron Physics and Applications in the Republic of Bulgaria as an established international scientific forum for presenting and discussing current experimental and theoretical advances in nuclear physics, neutron physics, and related applications. The conference will provide a platform for scientific exchange among researchers from Bulgaria and abroad, for the presentation of new results, methods, and approaches, and for the development of future joint research initiatives. The scientific programme includes keynote lectures, as well as oral and poster sessions, covering nuclear structure, exotic nuclei, nuclear forces, nuclear astrophysics, neutron and reactor physics, radioactive ion beams, tests of fundamental interactions, and emerging approaches such as quantum computing and machine learning in nuclear physics. Special emphasis is placed on the active participation of early-career researchers, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows through the presentation of their work, participation in discussions, and direct contact with established scientists from Bulgaria and abroad. The forum is expected to enhance international scientific cooperation, increase the international visibility of Bulgarian research, and strengthen the links between science, education, and society. The conference proceedings will be published, following peer review, in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series (IOP Publishing). Selected papers will be published, following peer review, in Journal of Physics: Conference Series (IOP Publishing).
