Description

Brief description 
Предложената стратегия е естествено продължение на дейността на МИГ Западен Балкан-Берковица, Годеч и Драгоман за устойчиво развитие и оживяване на територията на общини Берковица, Годеч и Драгоман, който прилага активно подхода ЛИДЕР/ВОМР от 2010 година. МИГ обхваща хомогенна територия в планинските и полу-планински гранични райони на Северозападна и Западна България.
Стратегията е разработена изцяло въз основа на местните потребности и потенциал, съвместно с представители на местната общност от различни сектори на социално-икономическия живот, които обединиха усилията си за създаване на стратегически документ насочен към подобряване средата и качеството на живот, насърчаване на предприемачеството и сътрудничеството в различните му форми. Местната общност взе решение стратегията да се подпомогне основно от един фонд - ЕЗФРСР, като се използват възможностите за допълващо финансиране по Програма "Образование" и Програма "Околна среда".
Стратегията предвижда мерки за подкрепа на обществени проекти за подобряване на предлаганите публични услуги и инфраструктура, мерки насочени към икономически растеж на микропредприятията, развитие на конкурентоспособно земеделие и занаяти, мерки за обединение на местните актьори и развитие на съвместни дейности за сътрудничество, както мерки за иновации свързани с "интелигентни" селища. 
Стратегията на МИГ е одобрена и се разглежда от местната общност, като възможност за финансиране на малки проекти с висока стойност за местните хора, като надгражда действията на местните и регионални власти за устойчиво развитие на територията, запазване и развитие на човешкия капитал, и икономически растеж с грижа за околната среда.
Изпълнението на Стратегия за местно развитие в два последователни програмни периода, безспорно доказа ползата за територията от прилагането на подхода ЛИДЕР/ВОМР и даде увереност на УС и екипа да разширят територията на действие на МИГ и продължат да работят активно за местното устойчиво развитие.
