The Velingrad region and Bulgaria as a whole can boast of an extremely rich folklore heritage. "Vasil Levski-1904" National Center works hard to preserve and popularize our folklore wealth and engage the young generation with traditions and customs. The present project envisages the preservation of our folklore heritage through the presentation of Bulgarian folklore and traditions.
Representative children's and youth ensemble for folk songs and dances "Zdravche-Venche" has a rich repertoire and presents performances from various folklore areas.
The project proposal is to provide the PDUANPT, "Zdravche-Venche" with women's northern costumes, and it is planned to make 12 pieces according to the project. women's northern costumes containing:
- Long shirt /Robe/ with cotton fabric embroidery.
- Skirt /northern bruchnik/ with a spectacular print of polyester fabric.
- Polyester fabric embroidery apron.
- Wide women's belt with polyester fabric embroidery,
which fully corresponds to traditional folk clothing in the Northern folklore region.
In order to complete the costume, it is necessary to complete it with a suitable belt and cuffs. It is planned that the belt will be embroidered, and the cuffs - old gold.
B PDYUANPT, "Zdravche-Venche" over 100 children and teenagers are trained to sing, dance, love and preserve Bulgarian folklore.
They have a rich repertoire from all ethnographic areas of Bulgaria. Currently, northern dances are impossible to present due to the lack of traditional northern costumes.
The Northern folk costumes intended for production, in addition to the pafts and the belt, will recreate the image of the folk maiden from the Northern folklore region. Folk clothing is an invariable part of the authentic presentation of our folklore wealth and an important factor in preserving our folklore traditions and passing them on to the younger generation.
